Estefanía Ajcip:

Estefania Ajcip (b. East Los Angeles, California; raised in Guatemala) is an artist whose work explores narrative, identity, and the emotional impact of immigration through the absence of her father. She studied at Pasadena City College, where she earned an A.A. and began developing alternative media works, before receiving her B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from California State University, Long Beach. Her practice combines 2D elements, bright colors, and fragmented imagery that weave together memories of Guatemala with traces of her father’s life in the United States. Drawing from old letters, family histories, and material experimentation, she reflects on the years spent apart while her father worked in the U.S. to support their family. Through layered narratives, Ajcip examines absence, migration, and belonging as both personal and shared experiences.

Castillo earned his BFA from CSULB and is an MFA candidate at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts. He has exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions in California, New York, and Virginia.

Jesse Fregozo:

Jesse Fregozo is a native Angeleno who primarily works as a painter and teaching artist. He vocalizes the struggles of marginalized communities through the representation of identity and culture as a primary focus. Fregozo uses locations around his community as symbols of identity and a cultural lifestyle that has been carried down generation after generation.

Gabe Medina:

Born and based in South Central Los Angeles, Gabe Medina is a Queer Mexican-American artist and community organizer. Working with clay, Medina's current practice explores cultural terraforming through the lens of queerness. Carving out space for queerness within inherited domestic and cultural traditions, Medina reimagines vessels and domestic forms as sites of both resistance and tenderness. Medina is currently Artist In Residence with Crafting the Future at Still Life Studios (2026) , Most recently, he was the Artist in Residence at Pottery Northwest in Seattle, Washington (2025) and before that part of the Ellsworth Artist Residency at Art Share (2025). Medina’s selected exhibitions include Tiger Strikes Asteroid (2025), Residency Art Gallery (2024), Brea Gallery (2024), Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles (2024), The Mistake Room (2023), and South Gate Museum and Art Gallery (2023). As a community organizer, Medina has facilitated a variety of workshops from topics including queerness, community building, identity and ceramics. Medina received his B.A. in Studio Art from California State University Dominguez Hills (2023).
