Art & Soul Yoga at ArtShareL.A. was created to practice yoga in a creative space. Our donation-based program (recommended $5) is an opportunity for practitioners to open their heart, mind and body with the intention of making space for the artist in each of us. MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College with a degree in contemporary dance, Sadye new that she wanted to spread her love of movement to as many people as she could.  Becoming a yoga teacher was the next logical step in her quest. Sadye believes that when we move with intention, we can change thought patterns, learn new things about our selves, and feel more at home in our skin.   Increasing our movement potential serves to increase our capacity for understanding our limits and our abilities, and teaches us to cultivate holistic intelligence.  As a yoga teacher, Sadye is invested in exploring asana practice as a means of deepening one's sense of wellbeing.  It is her personal understanding that a practice of movement and reflection helps to shape a whole person whose body and mind are strong and clear.  Using the physicality of asana as a means of tapping into reflection, she hopes to offer her students a safe and explorative space to experience everything yoga has to offer.

With a background in traditional fitness and plyometric based training Todd brings his passion for high energy exercise onto the mat. His Mixed Level class incorporates a variety of traditional and non traditional core strengthening exercises. Todd's class is challenging yet playful and honors practicing in the present moment. With an eclectic mix of music this class is sure to steady the mind and stir the soul.

Hi, I'm Katelyn Qualey, born and raised in Los Angeles. I wear glasses, I have yellow hair. I'm excited to be sharing yoga with everyone! Yoga is a personal experience for everyone who practices. It is my goal to facilitate a safe and meaningful practice that balances the body and the spirit. I have an open heart and mind- let's yoga together.

Aisha Sabatini Sloan started studying yoga with her math teacher, Ms. Johnson as a lucky elementary school student. Since then, she has taken classes from her printmaking professor in Minnesota, her Zen teacher in Tucson, and her Yoga Works 200-Hour Teaching Certification instructors in Los Angeles. Her favorite part of teaching yoga is to see how, over time, students begin to heal wounds they never realized they had.

Genevieve Bernard is an enthusiastic yoga practitioner. Teaching brings her joy and peace -she loves spending time together in the studio and on the mat. One of her favorite things about yoga is seeing the evolution of students and helping them reach milestones.

Laura Maly is a Wisconsin native and lover of dogs, art, and travel. She found yoga in 2005 after dealing with the anxiety brought on my college. A life-long athlete, Laura was drawn to yoga by its deeply personal experience, yet team-like atmosphere. Through teaching and practicing yoga, Laura finds peace and purpose and she hopes you do, too.

As a child, Gita was introduced to yoga, dance and music and loved them all for the joy, inspiration and creativity she gained. After attending Florida State as a theatre major, Gita moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting and photography career. It was there that she really began to explore various styles and studios of yoga and came to the conclusion that the best way to enhance her practice was to immerse herself in teacher training. She loves being able to spread the beautiful practice of yoga to others, especially at a non-profit program like Art Share.
