Art Share L.A. is proud to announce its first ever Comics Gallery Show! All artists in any comics related medium are encouraged to submit. In an effort to streamline the submissions process, we are asking for the following bits of info:
Send us an email with:
A brief artist statement (no more than 100 words)
Up to 5 digital work samples (low res photos are OK); please include title, dimensions, medium, and price.
Tell us where you live and your availability to attend Opening Night on June 21, 2013!
No links, email photos and info to firstname.lastname@example.org
DEADLINE for submissions: May 1, 2013
Selected artists will be notified by Friday May 10, 2013. Please be advised: all artists are responsible for getting their works to the gallery. Framing is available for a fee, but is not required for acceptance (though highly recommended). Pieces must be at the Art Share L.A. gallery by Monday, June 17, 2013.
There is no fee to submit works, nor is there a hanging fee, unless the artist is requesting framing service. All proceeds from sales are split 65/35 between artist and gallery.
Artists submitting original pieces are also encouraged to bring prints to sell, along with any other comic related merchandice at the Artists' Schwag Table!
All artists and friends are highly encouraged to attend the ultra-fantastic Opening Night Party: comics, cosplayers, live art, music, drinks, and all manner of merriment will be had!
